A canvas is a space dedicated to a specific topic. A canvas can be as public or private as you would like it to be. Within a canvas you can comment, share images and upload files and documents.
There are three levels of privacy settings for canvases, that determines who can view your canvas:
Public – Anyone on GeckoLife can view, search for and join a public canvas. Any participation requires the user to join the canvas first.
Protected – Canvases that are protected can only be viewed by the canvas members. Anyone can, however, search for or request to join a protected canvas.
Private – Private canvases can only be viewed by people who are invited to join the canvas. Anyone who is not a canvas member is unable to search for, or request to join, a private canvas.
You can create as many canvases as you want.
You can invite as many or as few people as you like to be a part of your canvas.
A canvas administrator has control over the content shared in a canvas. They can approve/decline invitation requests and allow/prevent commenting within a canvas. An administrator can also remove members and delete content, as needed. Do note that the creator of the canvas is automatically an administrator and can nominate other members to be administrators as well (there is no limit on the number of administrators per canvas).
